Oberlin-Funeral service for Lillian Marcantel, 92, will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Oberlin Covenant Church.  Rev. William Currie will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Oberlin Covenant Church on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to all.  She was a woman of strong faith and was a member of Oberlin Covenant Church.  She was a very generous person and loved to help people in need.  Lillian loved to garden and grow vegetables, spend time with her family and friends, and read her bible.  She was a prayer warrior and a wonderful example of a Southern, Christian lady.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Lillian's memory include her son, Danny Marcantel and wife, Connie of Milliken, Colorado; two daughters, Ramona Marcantel and Carol Marcantel, both of Oberlin; 10 grandchildren-Sunshine, Wright, Benjamin, Michael, Julie, Eugene, Scott, Kevin, Anna, and Erica; 3 great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, Comilouis and Mary Louise Pommier; her husband, Jesse Lee Marcantel; three sons, Robert, Larry, and Gene Marcantel; one daughter, Gloria Guillory; three brothers, Deddier, Wilson and Raymond Pommier; two sisters, Bernice and Carrie Pommier; and one granddaughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Marcantel.
