Kinder-Funeral service for LeRoy "Kitty" Manuel, 93, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. Vigil will be held at 6 p.m. The American Legion Post 244 will have a Taps Presentation Program at 5:15 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Kitty enjoyed visiting with people. He worked hard to provide for his family. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. He loved gardening and growing vegetables. Kitty enjoyed life in general. He was "jack of all trades" and helped other people fix things. He also was a man of strong faith. If you were Kitty's friend, you were friends with him for life. Kitty will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Kitty's memory include his wife, Evelyn Lantz; one son, Terri Manuel of DeRidder; two daughters, Kitty Marie Marsh of Elton and Belinda Attales and husband, Richard, of DeRidder; one brother, Norman Manuel of Beaumont; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Kitty is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lovenia Manuel; four brothers, Sherwin Manuel, Adrian Manuel, Whitney Manuel, and Elwin "Duo" Manuel; and two sisters, Corra Leah Manuel Richard and Agnes Thibodeaux.
