Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial for Lennis James "Pete" Chretien, 52, will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at Chretien Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton beginning Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6-10 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Lennis was a loving father, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He was a man of strong faith. He enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, growing flowers and caring for others. Lennis had a love for animals. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He graduated from Reeves High School in 1987 and was a lifelong resident of Kinder. Lennis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Lennis' memory include his daughter, Falon Chretien and partner, Kate Boudreaux, of Lake Arthur; one brother, Willis Chretien, of Lake Charles; two sisters, Laura Jordan, of Westlake and Mary Allen, of Moss Bluff.

Lennis is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Adella Chretien; two brothers, Wilford and William Chretien; and two sisters, Jean Morris and Bertha Chretien.
