Reeves- Funeral service for Mrs. Lecian Pitre, 88, will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Indian Village Pentecostal Church in Kinder. Rev. Mid Burnett, Rev. Jimmy White, & Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Friday in Indian Village Pentecostal Church from 11am-10pm and will continue Saturday at 9am until time of service.
Mrs. Pitre was a resident of Reeves. She was a member of Bel Fire Tower Pentecostal Church, which she loved dearly. Her family was her love; she enjoyed taking care of and cooking for all. Mrs. Pitre lived life to the fullest and her family and many friends will miss her. She passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in her residence.
Survivors include one son, Sampson Pitre & wife Lorena of Reeves; three daughters, Geri LeBrun of Booneville, AR, Georgia Holland of Reeves, Faye Whetstine of Reeves; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, & 6 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pitre is preceded in death by her husband, George Pitre, daughter, Irma Jean Elam, & grandson, Darrell Elam.
