Oakdale-Funeral services for Leamon Allen Rodriguez, 80, will be held in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.  Rev. Tim Kelley and Rev. Jerry Odom will officiate.  Burial will follow in Cryer Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4-10 p.m.  Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Leamon was born in Oakdale, Louisiana on October 19, 1941 to the union of Branch Earl Rodriguez and Vera Inez Johnson.  He was Pentecostal by faith, having been baptized under the ministry of Rev. T.C. Bonnette, whom he loved dearly.  Leamon was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a proud iron worker by profession.  He loved raising a garden and tending to his various fruit trees.  His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Pearl Rodriguez of Oakdale; four sons, Don Allen Rodriguez, Ronald Dean Rodriguez, Ellis Scott Rodriguez and Christopher Allen Rodriguez; two daughters, Linda May Welch and Rebecca Lynn Welch; his nephew who was "more like a son" to him, Jason West and wife, Shanda; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.

Leamon is preceded in death by his parents, Branch and Inez Rodriguez; one son, Elvin Wayne Welch; one daughter, Rhonda Lavene Rodriguez; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; and his best friend of over fifty years, Joe Potts.
