Kinder-A Private Mass of Christian Burial for L.D. Vizena, 81, will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Graveside Services will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

***The family will hold a private visitation and Funeral Mass. Guests are welcome to attend for graveside services at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Rev. Whitney Miller and Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. The family asks that all CDC guidelines and social distancing practices are implemented for all guests that attend. ***

Our hearts are heavy but we are rejoicing with the passing of our patriarch, L.D. Vizena. L.D. was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend of so many. He was a hard-working man that strived to do his best for his family and friends. L.D. was a jack of all trades but spent the majority of his working career as a member of Ironworkers Local 623. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

L.D. is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores. She was the sparkle in his eyes and the joy of his existence. Their children include Jennifer Tafoya and husband, Tim, Becky Walker and husband, Gerald Paul, Vicky Connor and husband, Kevin, Katy Barron and husband, David, and Luke Vizena and husband, Peri Sprowl.

To round out the family and the love and joy they shared include grandchildren Jessica Courtney, Amanda Gaddis, Trent Rester, Jeremy Walker, Jeff Walker, Jill Crawford, Marcus Connor, Anna Barron, Allison Barron and Avery Barron; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
