All of Laura's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Laura was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She married her first husband, Carl (C.B.) Coker on March 4, 1954, and was blessed with five children through the years. Carl and Laura loved to bowl in their younger years and loved spending time with their family while raising their children together. Laura loved to spend time with her family and friends on the porch with a good cup of coffee and good conversation. She worshipped the Lord through song every chance she had. She sang at church with her grandkids and at other singings whether they were at a church or at someone's home, she loved to sing. Laura was a devout Christian and attended Light House Church in Oakdale for many years, where she loved and adored her church family. Carl and Laura were married for 56 years until Carl's passing in June of 2010. Laura relied on her family, friends, church, and faith in the Lord. She remained a pillar for her family. On June 28, 2020, Laura would marry her second husband Eual Sasser. Laura will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Laura's memory include her husband, Eual Sasser; three sons, Bryant Coker and wife Donna, Bill Coker and wife "Tiny", and Robert Coker and wife Cheryl; one daughter, Lauretta McMillan and husband Shelley; one brother, Willie Sharp; one sister, Janell Chaddick; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, William "Pinky" and Alice Clark Sharp; her husband, Carl Bryant Coker Sr.; one son, Randy Glen Coker Sr.; one brother, Raymond Herman Sharp; one sister, Martha Elizabeth "Liz" Sharp; two grandsons, Matthew, and Darren Coker; and one great grandson, Triston Coker.

Condolences and words of comfort may be shared with Laura's family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Laura's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Allegiance Hospice and to Amanda Babb, Leilah Guillory, and Starla Lessing for all their love and care.
