Laura Lee Victorian was a faithful servant of God, a devoted daughter, a caring sister, a loving wife, a nurturing mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a woman of unwavering faith whose kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
With quiet resolve and a compassionate heart, Laura was a constant source of love, comfort, and guidance to her family and friends. She lived a life of selfless service, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her devotion to the Rosary and her steadfast love for God and her family were beautiful reflections of her deep and abiding faith. With every Hail Mary, she lifted her family and all those in need in prayer. Always trusting, God heard her petitions.
Laura possessed one of life’s greatest gifts: a merciful, forgiving, and nonjudgmental heart filled with unconditional love. Through her prayers, generosity, and endless love, she created a lasting foundation of faith and family that will continue to weave and unite generations. Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Those left to cherish Laura’s memory include her five sons, Jerome Victorian (Barbara), John Fitzgerald Victorian (Margaret), Joseph Patrick Brown, Raymond Brown, Christopher Dale Sowells; her daughters, Joyce Lee Victorian Captain (James), Delorcy Ann Victorian Thompson (Wade), Magdalene Victorian Gradney (James Chuck), Laura Lee Victorian-Brown (Kevin), Ida Cassandra Victorian Fontenot (Stacey), Crystal Gale Sowells (Ronald), and Crissey Sowells; her brother, Joseph Renal Pappion (Hilda); 39 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Essie Victorian; her parents, John Orelius and Ida Pappion; her brothers, Stanley Pappion, Floyd Pappion, Cornelius Pappion, and Wilbert Pappion; her sisters, Cora Guillory, Pearl Fontenot, and Ruby Durousseau; her grandsons, Kenneth Gradney and Ronald Henry Jr.; and her great-grandchild, Jacorion Captain-Martin.
Laura’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, family, and unconditional love. Though she is no longer with us, her prayers, wisdom, and cherished memories will continue to guide, inspire, and unify those she loved.
