Elton-A Memorial Service will be held for Larry E. David, 64, in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 1 p.m.  Sister Kay Hebert will officiate.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Elton.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to all.  He worked as a mechanic for many years.  Larry also enjoyed antique race cars, cooking and baking, hunting, fishing, and dancing.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand to others-most of all his family.  Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Larry's memory include his two sons, Marcus David and wife, Sara of Alexandria; Larry "Poke" David II and wife, Kasha, of Eunice; two daughters, Jenna David of Elton and Jaycee Troha of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Darryl David of Lake Charles; one sister, Jeanette Gonzalez of Elton; his former wife and mother of his children, Joan David of Elton; nine grandchildren-Heidi, Nevaeh, Kainen, Mars, Dylan, Ty, Isaiah, Lindsey and Taylor; and three great grandchildren-Wyatt, Daniel, and Judd.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Eluzy "Blanc" and Nelda David; his girlfriend, Jessica Troha; and two sisters, Annette David and Jane "Tee" Chavira.
