Landry "Red" Elisha Burnett

Kinder-Funeral service for Landry "Red" Elisha Burnett, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley. Rev. David Free will officiate. Burial will follow in Dry Creek cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Magnolia Baptist Church on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Red was a loving dad, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked hard as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for more than 40 years to provide for his family. He enjoyed his work and working his cattle on the farm. He loved spending time with his friends and family over coffee. He never met a stranger. Red will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Red's memory include his son, Louis E. Burnett and wife, "Trid", of Ragley; two daughters, LaQuita Smart, of Ragley, and Lisa M. Seep and husband, Michael, of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Carlton and Carlee Burnett, Christopher and Tyler Smart, Cody Hoffpauir, Jacob Seep, and Hannah Veillon; and seven great- grandchildren, Lakyn, Lance, Layna, Tobias, Rowan, Brayden, and Gannon.

Red is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Margie Burnett; wife, Annette Marie Burnett; daughter, Lenora R. Arville; one great-grandchild; and a host of brothers and sisters.
