Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Lamar "Buck" Seiley, 91, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Bro. Greg Willis will officiate. Lamar will be laid to rest at Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale immediately following his service.

Lamar's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Lamar's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Lamar was a lifelong resident of Oakdale and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was a devoted husband to his wife Bobbie Pittman Seiley for 57 years until her passing. Lamar served our country in the United States Navy. He was a hard worker and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Lamar was employed with the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 35 years until his well-deserved retirement. He loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling to Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, to watch the Masters Golf Tournament. Lamar was a kind and caring person and will be forever miss and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Lamar's memory include his two daughters, Donna Broussard and husband Robert, and Beth Moore and husband Thomas; one sister, Jeanette Bivens; two grandchildren, Heather, and Jamie, three great grandchildren, Kali, Destiny, and Julia; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Lamar is preceded in death by his parents, Lee, and Floy Seiley; his wife, Bobbie Pittman Seiley; four brothers, Arthur, Fred, Raymond, and Johnny Seiley, and one sister, Betty Maddox.
