Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Kurt Pierce, 78, will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Don Duplichain will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Green Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6pm-10pm and will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Pierce was a resident of Kinder, veteran of the US Air Force for two years serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver after many years of service.
Kurt enjoyed fishing, barbequing, playing pool & gardening. He was loved and cherished by his family & many friends.
Survivors include his lifelong companion, Ruby LaFleur of Kinder; mother, Lenora Pierce of San Bernardino, CA; seven children, John LaFosse of Kinder, James LaFosse of Kinder, Paula Reeves of Reeves, Pamela Smith of Kinder, Ricky LaFleur of Reeves, Willie LaFleur Jr. of Kinder, Allyson Johnson of Kinder; brother, Steve Pierce of San Bernardino, CA; 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, & 1 great-great grandchild.
Preceded in death by one son, Glenn LaFosse, one granddaughter, Christine Reed, one grandson, Shannon Smith.
