Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Kimberly Denise Carter, 54, will be held at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Bro. Neil Treme will officiate. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Butters Cemetery in Forest Hill immediately following her services.

Kimberly's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Tuesday evening, October 22, 2024, from 3-9 o'clock p.m. Kimberly's visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale Home on Wednesday morning, October 23, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Kimberly's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Kimberly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and devoted wife to the love of her life, her husband Johnnie Roy Carter for 36 years. Kimberly loved anything and everything that involved her family. She enjoyed cooking for them and taking pictures so she could always remember the memories she made with them. Her pride and joy were her children, but especially her grandchildren. Kimberly had a giving spirit and would do everything in her power to help those she loved. She was always available to support her children, to be their strength and armor, their voice, and their heart whenever the felt they could not go on. She always let her children and family know that they were valuable and loved. Kimberly always stood by her husband's side no matter what. He was her knight in shining armor. She loved crafting and painting, spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed family functions and cook ups. Kimberly was a very kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Kimberly's memory includer her father, Ronald  Johnson, her mother, Brenda Dubois; her husband Johnnie Roy Carter; four daughters, Dixie Carter, Sierra Mott and husband Christopher "Chris", Victoria Bouton and husband Steven, and Savannah Carter; four sisters, Tina Wilkinson and husband Aaron, Heather Goleman and husband Darren, Misty Austin and husband Bobby, and Brandi Nichols and husband Brian; twelve grandchildren, Thomas O'Quinn wife Imari, Gavin O'Quinn and fiancé Ari, Gage and Gracie Bouton, Christian Mott and fiancé Allie, SJ, Carter, Cullen, and Xander Bouton, Nevaeh and John Mott, and Ellerie Bouton, three great grandchildren, Bentley Mayo, and Gracie and Addie Mott; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Willie and Edna Johnson, her maternal grandparents, Harvey, and Johnnie Brodnax; one sister-in-law, Connie Carter; and her mother-in-law, Marylyn Carter.
