Elton- A Celebration of Life service for Khayden "K-Bud" Joseph Pitre, 18, will be held  Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11 o'clock a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Elton. Rev. Freddie Jack will officiate. Khayden will be  laid to rest at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Elton immediately following his service.

Khayden's family will receive visitors at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church on Saturday morning September 2, 2023, from 9 o'clock a.m. until the time of service. All arrangements have been entrusted to  Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Khayden, affectionately known as "K-Bud", was born on February 23, 2005, to Leo "Face" Francis and Rocquita Pitre Clement.  He was their first-born.  He was called home to gain his eternal reward from our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church until moving to Houston, Texas. He attended Elton Elementary, Elton Jr. High and Elton High School prior to moving to the Woodlands.  Khayden then attended The Woodlands College Park High School where he recently graduated in May of 2023.  Before his untimely demise, Khayden had plans to join the United States Air Force. While attending Elton High School and Woodlands College Park High School, Khayden played on the EHS varsity football and basketball teams and on Woodlands College Park High School basketball team.  He was a remarkable young man that respected everyone he encountered.  He loved and enjoyed life, bringing laughter to all.  He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face.  Khayden never met a stranger; he loved and valued spending time with his family and his SWLA Hoopers family.  To know Khayden was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to cherish Khayden's memory include his mother, Rocquita Pitre Clement and stepfather, Steven Clement of The Woodlands, TX; his father, Leo "Face" Francis of Elton;  maternal grandparents, Michael and Deidre Pitre of Elton, LA; paternal grandparents, Widley Sr. and Kay Francis of Elton; three sisters, Khinidy Francis of The Woodlands, TX, Kaylen Sigue of New Iberia, and Khoda Francis of Elton; one stepsister, Brittany Clement; one stepbrother, David Clement of The Woodlands, TX; three uncles, Malcolm Pitre, Widley, Jr. (Erica), Floyd, Sr. (Carolyn) all of Elton; one aunt, his godmother, Terrilyn "TC" Doffney (Terry) of Basile;  his godfather, Kyle Victoria of Victorville, CA; three special cousins,  Dr. Marcus Soileau, KeShawn Lyons and Jalen Chretien.

Khayden is preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
