Kinder-Ketha Turner Sonnier passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Kinder Retirement Center. She was born in Fairview, Louisiana on August 7, 1919 and was a graduate of Fairview High School.
Ketha is survived by one son, Douglas Sonnier and wife, Cele, of Oberlin; one daughter, Betty Nevils of Kinder; a son-in-law, Jacob Lawrence and wife, Phyllis, of Kinder; her grandchildren, Paula Livingston and husband, Lyndon, and Kim Nevils, all of Kinder; Henry Lane Nevils of Austin, Texas, Bridgett Rider, and husband, Troy, of Oberlin, and Melondy Sonnier of Oberlin; as well as her great grandchildren, Brett, Christian Lane, Brad and wife, Genna Livingston, Blake, Ketha Christine, and Megan Manuel, Kailey Johns, Marley and Elyse Manuel, Heidi, Trevor, T.J., and Tre' Rider.
Ketha is preceeded in death by her husband, Clyde Sonnier; one daughter, Latain Sonnier Lawrence; and two grandsons, Ricky Lawrence and Brady Sonnier.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 6-10pm and will continue on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 8am until time of service.
Funeral service will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 3pm. Rev. John Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
