Oakdale-Kenneth Alex Burke, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Elizabeth, LA, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, with his family by his side. Kenneth's family will host private inurnment services in his memory at a future date. All of Kenneth's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Kenneth was a loving father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being on the "open water". Kenneth had a keen sense of humor and loved "picking" on his friends and making them laugh, he enjoyed "picking" on his grandchildren the most. He had a knack for fixing things that were broken or could not be repaired. Kenneth also loved to dance and listen to Cajun music. He was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Kenneth's memory include one son, Kenneth Burke Jr., one stepdaughter, LaQue Gooch and husband Billy; one brother, Donald Burke; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Ruby Burke; one daughter, Josette Burke; two brothers, Cecil, and Travis Burke, and one sister, Virginia Long.
