Joye was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1956.  She then married her beloved husband, Alfred Milton Moore, Jr. and moved to Oberlin where she made her home.  Joye was a devoted wife to Alfred for 57 years until his passing in 2013.  Joye was a Godly woman with a very strong faith and she always put family first.  She was an active member of Oberlin Baptist Church for 57 years.  She was a member of the choir, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was one of the dedicated volunteers who fed those rebuilding the church every day after the old church burnt down. Joye also enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and cooking.  Her major goal in life was to raise productive children.  She loved spending time with her children and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Joye will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Alfred Milton Moore III and wife, Veronica, of Mountain Home, AR, Dr. Robert G. Moore and wife, Deborah, of Salisbury, NC, and Dr. Steven C.
