Kinder-A Mass of Christian Burial for Joyce Marie Savant Bellon, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Trey Ange will officiate. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder from 4-9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Rene, for fifty-seven years until his passing in August 2007. She was a lifelong resident of Kinder in the Indian Village community, as well as, a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Joyce was a member of The Catholic Daughters and she sang in the choir. She loved crocheting, sewing, quilting, putting together puzzles and working with ceramics. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hands were always busy. A kind and giving person just begins to describe Joyce. She always wanted all of her grandbabies to have something for every holiday. Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Joyce's memory include her son, Rene J. "Joe" Bellon and wife, Jennifer, of Lake Charles; two daughters, Juanita Fruge and husband, Mike, of Kinder and Sherry Jobert and husband, Kevin, of Lake Charles; two brothers, Billy Savant and wife, Margie, of Lake Charles and M.A. Trammell and wife, Janice, of Saratoga, TX; five sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Orange, TX, Peggy Savant of Ragley, Charlotte Bickford of Lake Charles, Lillian Bickford of Lake Charles and Guy-Marie of Lake Charles; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Rene Savant and Hattie Bickford; step-mother, Margurite Savant; step-father, Guy Bickford; husband, Rene Bellon; and one sister, Sue Ellis.
