Joseph R. "Bo" Rosson

Kinder- Visitation for Mr. Joseph R. "Bo" Rosson, 82, will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder, from 12 to 10 PM. A Rosary by the Catholic Daughters and Vigil service with Military Honors will be held at 7 PM. Burial will be in Tool Cemetery in Tool, TX, following a graveside service at 4 PM Saturday. Bro. Toby Clement will officiate.

Mr. Rosson was a resident of Kinder for 17 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. He was retired from OTIS Engineering, and was owner/ operator of J.R. Rosson wire line service out of Venice, LA. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; at one time being a member of the Shot and Shells Hunting Club. He thoroughly enjoyed watching football and baseball. Bo dearly loved his family, and took most pride and joy in his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Jane Courville Rosson of Kinder; four children, Teri Lee and Husband Ben of Brooklyn, MS, Christopher Fontenot and wife Nova of Kinder, Trey Fontenot and wife Jennifer of Belle Chasse, LA, and Marty Fontenot and wife Kristy of Hathaway; one brother, Morris Rosson of Grand Prairie, TX; nine grandchildren: Travis, Courtney, Austin, Emmelia, Lanie, Mason, Hanna, Jance and Alyssa; and one great grandchild, Tate. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Daniel Rosson and one sister, Sue Rosson Lewis. The family would like to extend special thanks to Brighton Bridge Hospice for its compassionate services, and wonderful staff.
