Reeves-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Lee Fontenot, 65, announce his passing on May 1, 2011 He was surrounded by his family at his home in Reeves, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 3-9pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder with an evening funeral service being held at 7pm. Brother Don Duplechain will officiate.
Joseph was a lifelong resident of Reeves. He loved doing yard work and gardening and was known for his impeccable yard. He enjoyed helping others with their yards and loved cooking and camping out with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Esther Fontenot of Reeves; two sons, Jerry Fontenot and wife, Shellie, and Jody Fontenot and wife, Erin, all of Reeves; one daughter, Regena Cutting and husband, McCoy of Reeves; three sisters, Helen Aust and husband, Walter of Dry Creek, Evelina Stretton of Missouri, and Aline Marcantel and husband, Buford of Oberlin; ten grandchildren; and, two great grandchildren.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Camilus Fontenot and an infant son, Jeffrey Scott Fontenot.
