Kinder- A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Deville, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. A private burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 12 p.m. until time of service. *** Please note, due to state mandates, a face covering is required inside, and social distancing must be maintained throughout your visit. ***
His greatest joy was surrounding himself with family and friends. He enjoyed the simple things of life and was filled with laughter. He leaves behind his faithful wife and partner of 62 years, Mabel (Eaglin) Deville of Kinder; his daughter, Margaret (Deville) Williams and son-in-law, Michael Williams of Greenville, Mississippi; son, Michael Deville and daughter-in-law, Theresa (Thibeaux) Deville; two grandchildren, Ashley and Kristen Deville of Pineville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beloved husband and father, Joseph Deville was born on February 15, 1937, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Frae) and Francis Deville of Elton, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, JoAnn Deville; one brother, Edward Deville and four sisters, Elizabeth Joubert, Edna Morehead, Letha Delafoisse and Hilda Lavergne.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and Allen Parish Hospital for all of their love, care and compassion shown.
