Oakdale- Funeral service for Jorry Ann Dyer, 69, will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2 PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakdale. Father Joses Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

Visitation will begin on Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakdale from
11 AM to 10 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM, and will continue in the church on Tuesday from 8 AM till time of service.

Mrs. Dyer was a resident of Oakdale. She passed away on Saturday with her family at her side. She was employed for many years with Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale as office manager over the insurance department. Mrs. Dyer was a volunteer with the Red Cross and the Federal Bureau of Prisons, served on the board for Girls Dixie Youth Softball, was a member of the Women's' Service League, and served on the board for the Curtis T. Cook Scholarship Fund. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Dyer and wife, Diana of Pitkin, and Matt Dyer and wife, Cindy of Oakdale; five grandchildren, Misty Dyer, Cameron Dyer, Nathan Dyer, Madison Dyer, and Mallory Dyer; and three great grandchildren, Luke Dyer, Morgan Dyer, and Brooklyn Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mach Dyer, Jr. ; two brothers, Alvin Guillory and Walter Guillory; and her lifelong friend, Shelby Fox. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Sacred Heart Church Cemetery Fund, Sacred Heart Church Choir Loft Fund, or the Curtis T. Cook Scholarship Fund.
