Kinder-Funeral Service for Johnny Lee Ellender, 53, will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Ethel Green Chapel at Camp Pearl. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ethel Green Chapel on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Johnny was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed fixing four wheelers, watching Nascar and football. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was very tender hearted and adored his grandchildren. Johnny owned E&S ATV repair in Reeves for many years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Johnny's memory include his wife, Evelyn Still Ellender of Reeves; one son, Johnny Lee Ellender Jr. of Reeves; two daughters, Samantha McCarthy of Reeves and Desiree Still of Reeves; two grandchildren, Kynzleigh and Liam Morvant; mother, Carol Hanks Smith and stepfather, Roy, of Reeves; two brothers, Buddy Estay and wife, Brandy, of Reeves, and Keith Estay of Moss Bluff; three sisters, Marlene Anderson and husband, Clint, of Jacksonville, FL, Catherine Goodley and husband, Windy, of Reeves, and Crystal Harper and husband, Darrell, of Topsy; Godmother, Shirline Hanks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Joe Ellender and one Godchild, Warren Wimberly.
