Funeral service for Johnnie "Little Johnnie" Vidrine, 70, will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Kinder. Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder-McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 3-9pm with a rosary being recited by Wanda Walker at 6:30pm and will continue on Saturday morning from 8am until time of service.
"Little Johnnie", as he was affectionately known, worked in the produce department of Kinder Supermarket for the Sneve family for many years. After the closing of the supermarket, he worked for Piggly Wiggly and, then, later at Market Basket until his illness caused him to retire. He was a devout Catholic and member, as well as officer, of the Knights of Columbus. He was a simple man who always had a smile on his face. He will be graciously remembered by the many people who had the pleasure of knowing him over the years.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Guillory- Gillis and his niece, Susan Hollier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Avie and Marie Vidrine.
