John was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very devoted to his Catholic faith and strived to have himself and his family constantly involved in church. John worked very hard to serve and be involved in the community. John was a 1962 graduate of ULL, and he was very proud to be a "Ragin' Cajun". He was an accountant in the oil industry for the first part of his working career and later partnered with his uncle to build homes in Houston, Texas. He was later employed by the town of Kinder as the Town Clerk from which he retired. John was a very selfless person and always put others before himself. In 1997 John began his battle with cancer. Through everything he endured John never complained, and was always very thankful for God's grace. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
