Funeral service for John Sparks, 60, will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11am in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Friday in Ardoin Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. Visitation will continue at 8am Saturday until time of service.
Mr. Sparks passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Slidell, LA.
He is survived by two half brothers, Bennie H. Wallace Jr. of Austin, TX & Robert S. Wallace of Houston, TX; half sister, Patricia Wallace Travis of Baton Rouge; aunt, Emilie Coulter of Slidell; nephews, Stan Wallace, Brian Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Jeremy Clark, and Michael Clark; nieces, Rebecca Wallace, Kaye Wallace, Jennifer Rippel, Katherine Rippel; grand nieces, Brinlee Rippel, Kayla Clark, Isabella Clark, Taylor Wallace, and Madelyn Wallace; a host of cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Inez Marcantel Wallace; grandmother, Beatrice Landreneau Marcantel, and grandfather, William Marcantel.
