Kinder-Celebration of Life services honoring John Wayne Richey, 32, will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11 o'clock a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. John will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Elton immediately following his services.

John Wayne's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 3-9 o'clock p.m.  John's visitation will resume on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of John Wayne's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

John Wayne was loving husband, son, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife Brooke.  John Wayne was a hard worker and always worked hard to provide for his family. He was a family man and adored spending time with his family. John Wayne loved to exercise and visited the gym every chance he got. He loved to read as a past time and was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. John Wayne was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish John Wayne's memory include his wife, Brooke Richey of Kinder, LA; his father, Wayne Richey of Elton, LA; one son, Mason Wayne Richey of Krotz Springs, LA; four stepdaughters, Haley, Chassity, Brittany and Melody Benoit all of Kinder, LA; one brother, Jacob Richey of Elton, LA; one sister, Ginger Richey of Sweeny, TX; seven grandchildren and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.

John Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Brandy Manuel.
