John Timothy, affectionately known as "Tim", went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones.  Days before his passing, if Tim was asked how he was feeling, he would instantly reply "with his fingers".  His battle with cancer was swift, but he faced it with determination, faith, and his never-ending "dad" jokes.

Tim was born in July of 1950 to his parents, Stuart and Martha Langley of Fenton, Louisiana.  He attended Fenton High School and was known to be quite mischievous, but always loyal to those who knew him.  In the summer of 1971, Tim met Rachel Broussard, married and had three beautiful daughters, Kathryn (Katy), Emily and Amber.

Tim was a well-known welder employed by La-Tex Rubber, Inc. for many years before joining the team at Gator Hydraulics, then Bullwin Industrial.  If Tim was not at work, one could usually spot him in one of two places-helping out a friend or cooking up something delicious at the family camp.  Rarely did Tim have a chance to sit down, but, when he did, one could count on him falling asleep within ten minutes while watching an old Western movie.

The number of people touched by Tim's generosity and kindness is overwhelmingly vast.  Along with so many friends, co-workers, and family, he will be missed by Rachel, his wife of over 48 years; his daughters, Kathryn Poe and husband, Jeremy, of Kinder and Amber Gill and husband, Dusty of Moscow, Idaho; grandchildren, Katelyn and Jillian Poe and Ethan and Emma Gill; as well as his sister, Pamela Langley-Young of Lake Charles.

Tim will be placed to rest next to his late daughter, Emily, at Carter Memorial Cemetery and in true fashion of Tim's humor, he would say that "people are just dying to get in there"!

If you would like to share a memory of Tim's humor or express your words of sympathy to the family, you may do so at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
