John, affectionately known as "Johnny", was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife Carmen "Weezie" LaFleur for over 49 years. Johnny was a lifelong resident of Kinder and a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.  He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his wife at their camp and riding the backroads together on his golf cart.  Johnny was blessed with a beautiful family with whom he loved spending time, especially being with his children and grandchildren.  He will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Johnny's memory include his wife, Carmen "Weezie" LaFleur of Kinder; one son, Caleb LaFleur, and companion Pam of Kinder; one daughter, Heather Touchet and husband Kyle of Kinder; two brothers, Robert LaFleur and wife Kathy and Joe LaFleur and wife Mel, all of Kinder; two sisters, Mary Gauthreaux of Kinder and his twin sister, Judy Baker and husband Bruce of Kinder; 7 grandchildren-Jack "Tre" LaFleur, Isaac Droddy, Aaden Touchet, Jordyn Johnson, Haylyn LaFleur, Dayton LaFleur, and Yazmine Fontenot; 2 great grandchildren-Avery Fontenot and Emmerson Shuff; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

"Johnny" is preceded in death by his father,  J.C. LaFleur, his mother, Theresa Howard LaFleur and his father and mother-in-law, J.D. and Jeanette Duplechain.
