Our dear mother Joan Ann (Jo Ann) Guillory sadly passed from this life at the age of, 85, on March 3, 2023, surrounded by her children. Mother was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Lionel Guillory. Joan was one of eight children of, Francis and Elizabeth Reed, who preceded her in death.

Together always until his passing in September 2008, Emery and Joan raised three sons. She leaves to cherish her memories, Keith Brian Guillory, Nicholas Neil Guillory (Connie), and her baby, Joseph Charles Guillory.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. Never at a loss for words or wit, Joan was sometimes solemn, but enjoyed having fun with family and many friends. Although Joan left rural Oberlin, LA to be near family, she always was anxious to hear of her friends back home.

Special thanks to the staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Heart of Hospice for helping with Joan's tender and loving care in her last days.

A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of her life will be held at her beloved St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin, LA at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023. Father Pradeep Gali will officiate. Burial will follow at Oberlin Mausoleum under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 9:30 a.m.
