Obituary

Deridder-Jetta Carol Cooper, 71, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at a local care facility. In honor of Jetta's wishes, her family will host memorial services in her memory at 2 o'clock p.m. on Saturday afternoon, March 8, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in Junction, LA. Rev. Bro. Jim Miers will officiate. Jetta's family will host private inurnment services at a future date.

Jetta's family will receive friends and visitors at Calvary Baptist Church in Junction, LA, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12 o'clock noon until time of service. Jetta's cremation has been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Jetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time at home with friends and family, watching television, playing card games, shopping, and going to stay with her best friend Nina in Arkansas. Jetta was outgoing, witty, and very sassy! All who knew her, knew she could get real sassy real fast. Jetta will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Jetta's memory include her son Joseph Bordelon and wife Rebecca of Junction, LA; three brothers, James "Jim" Cooper and wife Anita of Houston, TX, Johnny Cooper and wife Carol of Deridder, LA, and Mike McKnight and wife Lanie of Lafayette, LA, one sister, Patti Lucas and husband Nolen of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Levi Johnson and wife Kelli of Junction, LA, Garrett Johnson and wife Alyissa of Sulphur, LA, and Coltlyn Bordelon of Sulphur, LA, five great grandchildren, Landry Chase and Sawyer Chase Johnson, Lynn Jean and Novalee Ann Johnson, and Cheyenne Alyse Stanley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Jetta is preceded in death by her father, James "Jim" Cooper, her mother and stepfather, Patsy and Clearence McKnight; one brother Jeffery "Jeff" Cooper; and one great grandson, Bryson Chase Johnson.
