Kinder- Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Kingsfarm Pentecostal Church for Jessie Warren Marquez, 37 years old, of Kinder, Louisiana; beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who went to be with our Lord on January 21, 2011 at 3:15 in the afternoon.
Jessie is the son of Tony and Vickie Fontenot. He was born February 1, 1973 in Aviano, Italy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Paul Marquez, his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Altom, and his paternal grandmother, Lessie Gregory.
Jessie touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his courageous spirit throughout his life on earth. Jessie embraced the essence of love for life and continuous hope; and befriended all those who were blessed to know him.
Jessie loved the outdoors, rodeo, music, technology, social networking, laughing, hard work, and anything that had to do with fun, family, and friends.
He was one of six children; survived by brothers-Anthony Marquez and William Marquez (Melanie LeBlanc) and sisters-Leslie Moretz (Gerard Moretz) and Lisa Martin (Heath Martin); nieces-Shailyn, Mae Mae, Meagan, Ashlyn, and Kennedy; nephews-Joe Joe, Patch, Jude, Jackson, Jaxyn, Colburn, and Tyler; grandparents-Franklin and Virginia Fontenot; uncles and aunts-Becky and BobYouman, Blackie and Geraldine Fontenot, Ida Ford, Hazel Savant, Dan and Rhonda Sherman, Kerry Fontenot, Jim and Dana Homer; his dear friend, CarrieAnne Jividen; and his caregiver and friend, Joe Manuel.
Jessie is truly an inspiration to all and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held from 4-9PM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 in Kingsfarm Pentecostal Church and will continue on Sunday until time of service.
