Kinder- Funeral service for Jessie Hendricks, 75, will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 2 pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Kevin Willis and Kay Hebert will officiate. Burial will be in LeBlanc Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Monday from 2 to 10 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 8 am till time of service.

Mr. Hendricks was a resident of LeBlanc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his son, Jessie Hendricks, Jr. of LeBlanc; three daughters, Melinda Hendricks and Ruby Hendricks of LeBlanc and Jewel Lanier of Pearland, TX; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Molly Watson of Iowa and Ruthie Armstrong of Sulphur; also a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Allie Hendricks; four brothers, Oscar Frank Hendricks, Tillman Hendricks, Edward "Pug" Hendricks, and William Riley "Billy" Hendricks; three sisters, Fairbee Anne "Sis" Gerrie, Ida Mae Sweat, and Myrtle Long. The mother of his children and wife of 21 years, Viola Hendricks Swire, also preceded him in death.
