Elton-Mrs. Jeanette Granger Vallée of Elton, passed away on October 26th in her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at St. Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 9 a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Vallée was a native of Oberlin and a resident of Elton for the past
60 years. She was an avid reader and loved to travel, especially to see
her beloved LSU Tigers. When not traveling, she could be found playing cards or fishing on their boat, the Guppy. She was thrilled when she was able to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Louis Vallée of Elton; four sons, Chad Vallée of Lake Charles, Gawain Marsh (Liz) of Lake Charles, Dorian Marsh of Hathaway, and Joey Marsh (Pam) of Basile; one daughter, Cindy Marsh Fuselier of Hathaway; one sister, Shirley Granger Hebert of Oberlin; sisters-in-law, Joan Vallée Rettke(Bob) of Lake Charles and Marilyn Vallée Dawdy (Ed) of Sulphur; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Beatrice Granger; brother, Jessie and Margie Granger; daughter-in-law, Rhoda Marsh; son-in-law, David Fuselier; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hebert; and in-laws, Marion and Vida Vallée of Welsh.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, Jeff Davis Parish Home Health and Teresa LeBlanc for all of their love, care and compassion shown to our family.
