Obituary
Oberlin-Funeral service for J.C. Fontenot, 87, will be held at 12 o'clock noon on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob S. Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel.
The family will receive visitors at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7th St., on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
J.C. was a friend to all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by many.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews-Diana Tichy and James Fontenot, both of Oakdale, JoAnn Welch and Paul Fontenot, both of Oberlin, Darrell Fontenot of Carlyss, and Kim Cavalier, Jimmy and Tommy Granger, all of Plaquemine.
J.C. is preceded in death by his parents, Maxille and Julia Fontenot; his sister, Blanche Fontenot; and his brother, Otis Fontenot.
