Topsy- Funeral service for Jayson Matthew Parker, age 6, will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 4:00p.m. in Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel (Camp Pearl) in Reeves. Rev. Glen Ducharme will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Wednesday in Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel from 8pm and will remain open until time of service.
Jayson was a resident of Topsy and a student at Gillis Elementary School. He enjoyed hog hunting with his father, fishing, basketball, tee ball, riding his mule and his four-wheeler. Jayson touched the hearts of everyone who knew him with his lovable personality and his nature to never meet a stranger. He passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
Survivors include his parents, Yolande Vincent LeGros & Larry Parker of Topsy; brothers, Barry Parker & Louis Parker; sisters, Sarah Parker & Ashlyn LeGros; grandparents, Wylace & Margaret Vincent of Ragley, Wanda Parker of Topsy & Kenneth Parker of Lake Charles; great grandmother, Libby Marceaux Doucet of Iowa; uncles & aunts, Jared & Tressie Vincent Lafleur of Kinder, Craig & Sharie Ortego of Lafayette, Paul & Gayla Fontenot of Topsy, Elliott & Paula Semien of Iowa.
Preceded in death by his sister, Kaileigh Elizabeth Parker.
Pallbearers will be Barry Parker, Louis Parker, Jared Lafleur, Craig Ortego, Blake Ortego, & Donovan Fontenot.
