Jason was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid sports fan, especially for LSU and the Saints. Everywhere he went, Jason "never met a stranger." He was a great cook, a great storyteller with a "one of a kind" sense of humor, and had a love for music. Everyone who knew Jason, always had a story to tell about him. He will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Lelia Obe Battise, of Elton ; two daughters, Brooklyn Battise, of Dallas, TX and Janelle Battise, of Livingston, TX; one brother, Jarrod Thompson and wife, Darla, of Elton; one sister, Carla Thompson, of Iowa; five grandchildren-Adilyn and Karmyn, Bree, Blaire, and Wyatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Morgan Battise; one brother, Jonathon Craig Thompson; and one sister, Candace Renee' Guidry.
