Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Jammie Lynn Ballard, 64, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Union Hill Baptist Church. Revs. Michael McIntosh, Jerry Odom, and Danny Perry will officiate. Jammie will be laid to rest at Union Hill Cemetery immediately following his services.

Jammie's family will receive friends and visitors at Union Hill Baptist Church on Monday evening, July 1, 2024, from 5-10 o'clock p.m. Jammie's visitation will resume at Union Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Jammie's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Jammie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church where he attended church regularly. Jammie loved and adored his family and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a kind and caring person. Jammie will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Jammie's memory include his wife, Janey Ballard; one daughter, Jennifer Ballard; two brothers, Timothy, and Michael Ray Ballard, and two sisters, Rhonda KaRosi, and Brenda Gautney.

Jammie is preceded in death by his biological parents, Felix LeRoy and Elizabeth Turner Ballard, his foster parents, Shelby Lee, and Pearl Perkins Johnson; two brothers, Dennis Wayne Cheatam, and Felix Allen Ballard; one sister, Deborah Elaine Ballard Romero; and three grandchildren, Trace, Racelynn and Crimson.

Pallbearers honored to serve are, Nathan, Colbie, Chevy and Mitchel Romero, Kyper Melancon, Gregory Eschete, and Robert Singleton.
