Oberlin-A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Jamie Marie Landry, 56, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin. Rev. Fr. Pradeep Gali will officiate. Jamie will be laid to rest at Durio Cemetery in Oberlin immediately following her services.
Jamie's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Wednesday evening, March 13, 2024, from 4-9 o'clock p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6 o'clock p.m. Jamie's visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Thursday morning, March 14, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Jamie's arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.
Jamie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Michael Landry for 36 years. Jamie was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin where she attended church when she could. Jamie loved spending time with her family especially her son. She loved all children and loved to see children happy. All children were attracted to Jamie. Jamie has served as the Secretary at Oberlin High School for 18 years. She loved to craft, scrapbook, grow flowers and going camping and fishing at Toledo Bend. Jamie loved the Holidays and all the time that she was able to spend with her family. Jamie loved listening to French music, drinking coffee and listening to KBON 101.1 was a regular weekend past time. She was a very kind and caring person and never liked saying "no". Jamie will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Jamie's memory include her husband Michael Landry of Oberlin, LA; one son, Benjamin Michael Landry of Oberlin, LA; two brothers, Mark Dwayne Ryder and wife Lisa of Oberlin, LA and James Tee Ryder and wife Tonya of Oberlin, LA, one sister, Vicki Davis of Glenmora, LA; four shared grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jamie is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and IMilda Jewel Ryder.
