Funeral service for James Warren, 72, will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 3 o'clock p.m. at Lonestar Baptist Church of Hineston.  Rev. Alvin Robinson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Lonestar Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Lonestar Baptist Church from 12 o'clock noon until the time of service.

James was a loving husband to his wife, Beverly, for many years.  They were married on Christmas Eve 33 years ago and from that marriage they became the proud parents of a baby girl, Erin, whom James loved and adored.  James was a log truck driver for many years with his family.  He loved to tell jokes; he could tell one joke after another just to make his friends laugh.  He liked to play pool and cared for his dogs and chickens, as well.  In his younger days, he also loved to hunt and fish.  James will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish James' memory include his wife, Beverly Warren; one daughter, Erin Warren; three other children, Callie, Annie and Jason; one brother, Keith Warren; two sisters, Lola Warren and Mary Warren; and 10 grandchildren, including two of which were very close to their grandpa, James Lee McNaughton and Mattie Tate.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Opal Dousay Warren; and one brother, Herman Warren.
