Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring James Edison Viscardis, 51, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Hardy Estes will officiate. James will be laid to rest at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Oakdale immediately following his services.

James's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 2-8 o'clock p.m. James's visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of James's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

James was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather. He loved and adored his family and enjoyed every moment that he spent with them especially his grandson Tyler.  James was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and cooking. He especially loved to rabbit hunt. James never met a stranger; he would hold a conversation with anyone who would talk to him.  He loved music and especially enjoyed listening to all the "oldies". James will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish James's memory include, his father, Edward P. Viscardis; three sons, Austin Viscardis and wife Kristian, Dylan Viscardis, and Kadyn Viscardis; three brothers, Thomas Viscardis and wife Crystal, David Brow, and Darrell Brow, one sister, Sharon Brow Shultz; and three grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Viscardis; and one son James Viscardis Jr.
