Jimmy was a resident of Sugartown. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from the DOTD based in Oberlin after 30 years of service. He also served in the National Guard for six years and was a security guard and slot attendant at Coushatta Casino Resort for 15 years. Jimmy loved sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved the Kinder Yellow Jackets, as well. He also loved anything to do with horses and cattle. He trained and raised horses for many years and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was also a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and served as an usher while attending St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He enjoyed building things and always had a project on which he was working. He loved his family, especially his "Pine Island cousins"- the Chaisson's. Jimmy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Jimmy's memory include his wife of 18 years, Rheda Cook LeDoux of Sugartown; three sons, Jeff and Johnathan LeDoux, both of Kinder, and Jared LeDoux and wife, Suzanne, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Joseph LeDoux and wife, Phyllis, of Lake Charles, and John LeDoux and wife, Laura, of LeBleu Settlement; four sisters, Shirley Shaw of Pine Island, Jane Ruff of Jennings, Juanita Ardoin of Lacassine, and Lynn LeBlanc of Welsh; and three grandsons, Cameron, Carson, and Jeremy.
