Oakdale-Funeral service for James Edwin "Eddie" Henry, 60, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale. Rev. Kenneth Mathis and Rev. Greg Willis will officiate. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home from 2-10 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Visitation will resume Thursday morning at the church from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Eddie was a faithful worker for the Lake Charles American Press for twenty plus years. He was a loving brother to his brother Mark. He was the nicest person you could ever meet and loved his family dearly. Eddie was a very quiet and humble man that would help anyone in need at any time. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Eddie's memory include his one brother, Mark Henry (Melissa); two nieces, Autumn and Hanna Henry; one nephew, Aaron Henry; and three special aunts, Alice Jowers, Helen Mathis, and Faye Brooks.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Marna Lee Henry.
