Oberlin-James Roland Fuselier, 74, passed away on Wednesday, April18, 2012. His funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10:30am in Oberlin. Father Felix Anyikwa will officiate. Burial will follow
in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 1-9pm at Assembly of God Church of Oberlin. Visitation will continue at Assembly of God Church on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8am until time of service.
James was a rice and bean farmer and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and made his own hoop nets. He loved coffee drinking with his friends. He was a loving husband, dad, and "Pah Pah".
James is survived by his two sons, Donald Fuselier and wife, Mary of Oberlin; Otere Paul Fuselier and wife, Shelly of Dry Creek; two daughters, Donna Marie Fuselier of Deridder, and Catherine Pitre of Oberlin; three brothers, Louis Fuselier Jr. and wife, Charlcie of Doodlefork; Wayne Fuselier and wife, Donna of
DeRidder, Mike Fuselier and wife, Carolyn of Indian Village; ten grandchildren; and, fourteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Leta Fuselier; and his wife,
Dorothy P. Fuselier.
