Kinder-James Linton Cole, 64, went into eternal rest on Friday, November 20, 2020 in Hammond, LA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. A private burial will follow at a later date under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, 2020 beginning at 5 p.m. until time of service.
James, better known as "Jimmy", to those close to him, was a resident of Kinder. He worked in the plants for several years, was a bricklayer and spent some time in the National Guard. Jimmy was a lively spirit. He loved to socialize and have a good time. He would always make people laugh and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmy is survived by his two children, Kevin Cole of Baton Rouge and Michelle of Houston, TX; three brothers, Luke Cole, Jr. (Earline Suire) of Jennings, John Milton Cole of Houston, TX, and Joseph Edmond Cole (Shirley) of Jennings; a nephew that was like a son, Vinson Ray Cole of Kinder; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Luke Cole, Sr. and Mary Eaglin Cole; and one sister, Mary Enola Cole.
