Oberlin-Memorial services celebrating the life of James "Tom" Callahan, 65, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Tom was a loving husband to his wife, Mendy, for forty-one years, as well as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He worked as a truck driver for thirty-two years to provide for his family; all while traveling the world with his wife. Tom loved to piddle around the house, do DIY projects, talk about hot-rods and go to zoos and museums. He was a history buff and enjoyed informing others. Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Tom's memory include his mother, Phyllis Callahan of Sulphur; wife, Mendy Langley Callahan of Oberlin; one brother; one sister; one very special brother-in-law, Tiny Langley; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom considered Tom a beloved father figure.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Jiggs Callahan; and one brother, Charles Bill Callahan.
