James was a wonderful husband and father to his wife and son. He was a devout Christian and worked with the Boy Scouts when his son, Steven, was active in scouting and was there for him when he earned his Eagle Palms. James was a devoted son to his own mother and until her passing, he would always see about her. His nieces and nephews loved him and Aline dearly and were more like their grandchildren. They were always spending time, especially their summers, with them. He worked 35 years for Arizona Chemical as an electrician. He was a hard-working man and was always ready to help anyone that needed him. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Aline Aldridge, of Oakdale; his son, Steven Paul Aldridge and wife, Michelle, of Johnson Bayou; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, George and Velma "Jimmie" Aldridge; an infant son, James Kevin Aldridge; and his sister, Georganne Aldridge Andrus.
