Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Jacqualine Sweat, 69, will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 15, 2026, at 1 o’clock p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Greg Willis will officiate. Jacqualine will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following her services.

    Jacqualine’s family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Jaqualine’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

    Jacqualine Sweat was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was born on Saturday, December 8, 1956, in Alexandria, LA to the union of Elza and Ethel Sweat. Jacqualine graduated Oakdale High School, class of 1975. She loved cooking and feeding her friends and family. She enjoyed reading, talking on the phone, reading her Bible, and music. Jacqualine will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

    Jacqualine is survived by her son, Cory Sweat and wife Lynette; one sister, Samantha Dianne; one brother, Rodney Sweat; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

    Jaqualine was preceded in death by her parents Elza and Ethel Sweat.

    Pallbearers honored to serve are Dennis Yates, Derek Bennett, Todd Cloud, Carlyle Current, Steven Gill, and Scott Dickens. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Willis and Heath Ware.
