Kinder-Homegoing services for Jackie "Jack" Nevils Fontenot, 85, will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Louise, for 37 years. He loved horses and was an avid cowboy. He loved spending time with his family and was a friend to everyone. Jack was a member of Indian Village United Pentecostal Church for 30 years. He worked as a bridge carpenter with Union Pacific Railroad for his 42 years until his retirement. Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Jack's memory include his wife, Louise, of Indian Village; one son, Sidney Fontenot and wife, Megan, of Ragley; two daughters, Brooke Benoit and boyfriend, Zach, of Kinder and Katie Edwards and husband, Darrell II, of Deridder; and eight grandchildren.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Minnie Fontenot; one brother, Jimmy Fontenot; and one sister, Betty Arnold.
