Kinder-Funeral services for J.E.Willis, age 68, will be held on Friday,
March 25, 2011 at 2 pm in Ardoin Funeral Home. Father Marshall
Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery
under the direction of Ardoin Funeral home of Kinder.
Visitation will begin in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on
Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 3pm-9pm with a rosary being recited
at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8am until time of
service.
Mr. J.E.Willis grew up in Plainview, La. and lived in Sulphur
for the last 23 years. He was retired with over 40 years of employment.
He worked in the oilfield, Austin Construction, and Calcasieu Parish
School Board. He was a member of the Four Winds Cherokee Tribe. He
loved the outdoors, especially cooking with family and friends. He was
a devoted husband for more than 41 years and a loving dad and
grandfather.
His survivors include his son, Jacob Willis and wife Rachael of
Moss Bluff; three daughters, Susan Willis of Carlyss, Monica LaFleur
and husband John of Sulphur, and Mildred Rodriguez and husband
David Dabbs of Sulphur; and eleven grandchildren, Samantha Arevalo,
Ross Willis, Ryan Willis, Justin Lafleur, Nicholas Harvey, Jeremy Rodriguez,
Gabrielle Willis, Victoria Willis, Jace Willis, Harleigh Lafleur, and Sarah
Willis.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Marcantel Willis; and
Daughter Karen Willis.
